Brilliant book by Jordan B Peterson written masterfully and with a lot of passion to highlight the ‘12’ rules to living a meaningful life. ‘12’? More like 1200 rules! – but the rules and lessons are presented in a form that’s accessible, for anyone at any age. Fairytales and historical and biblical stories abound and there are a lot of the author’s client and personal stories too that help illustrate the ideas here clearly. This all reminds me of the quote by Rainer Maria Rilke:
“Do not believe that he who seeks to comfort you lives untroubled among the simple and quiet words that sometimes do you good. His life has much difficulty and sadness and remains far behind yours. Were it otherwise he would never have been able to find those words”
I think that aptly sums up how I feel and think after reading this title.
